Elizabeth Scavetta Memorial Teen Short Story Contest

Short story submissions will be accepted
from October 1, 2019 - February 1, 2020.

Caledon Public Library is honoured to celebrate the 16th anniversary of the Elizabeth Scavetta Memorial Teen Short Story contest. This contest was named in memory of Elizabeth Scavetta, a promising, gifted young writer who placed first in the inaugural Caledon Public Library Teen Short Story Contest in 2003. Enter the 2019 contest today!

  • All entries must be submitted electronically through the Caledon Public Library website
  • Entrants must be between the ages of 12-18 years of age
  • Stories are to be a maximum of 1500 words and must be original
  • Once submitted, stories become the property of Caledon Public Library and may be published
  • Prizes will be awarded for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place with winners being notified by March 1st, 2020.
