PRIZES AND SCREENING

Caledon Public Library's Young Reels Film Festival 10th Anniversary Extravaganza will take place on April 10, 2018 at the library and at Albion Bolton Community Centre - Auditorium. Doors open at 6 pm. Tickets available at the door for $10 pp or show your library card or sign up for a library card and get in free. In recognition of this milestone event, Caledon Concert Band will perform music from some well-loved films.

  • All participants’ short film(s) will be screened at CPL’s Young Reels Film Festival pending pre-screening for content and adherence to festival general criteria.
  • All participants receive certificates of participation.
  • One monetary prize will be awarded to one individual or group in each category.
  • Young Reels awards are generously supported by Friends of Caledon Public Library.

Aspiring teen directors, cinematographers, film editors and movie buffs - now is the time to submit your short film(s). Caledon Public Library is calling students to be involved in our acclaimed Young Reels Film Festival! This year marks the 10th anniversary of this exciting contest, open to all students of high school age - (grades 9 - 12). This is a chance for our community’s youth to make a statement, be heard, and tell a story using their voice.
