Additional Educational Resources

The Ministry guidelines for online learning is: 

  • Kindergarten to grade 3 –  five hours of work per student/week
  • Grades 4 to 6 – five hours of work per student/week

  • Grades 7 to 8 – 10 hours of work per student/week

  • Grades 9 to 12 – three hours of work per course per week for semester students; one-and-a-half hours of work per course per week for non-semester students?

Dufferin Peel Catholic District School Board - online student resources 

Aligned to the Ministry of Education's Learn at Home initiative, where online learning resources have been provided for student learning, the Dufferin-Peel Catholic District School Board has prepared supplementary online learning resources for students.  These resources have been provided based on student age/division.

Amazing! - Have a look

  • High School Courses - for Grades 9 to 12 | Students can review, refresh and extend their learning. During this time of school closure, teacher-facilitated online courses are being temporarily adapted to allow for independent study (not for credit). You can begin when you like and work at your own pace
  • Indigenous Knowledge & Wisdom Centre
  • NSTeens - resources include games, an interactive comic, and the animated NSTeens video series | videos follow the adventures of a group of friends that are learning to navigate the Internet safely while dealing with issues like cyberbullying and online predators
  • Peel Art Gallery Museum and Archives (PAMA) and Museums of Mississauga are creating a COVID-19 time capsule to document the experience and memories of the Covid-19 pandemic. Peel residents are being asked to contribute items to the time capsule, which will chronicle the social, health, economic impacts of Covid-19 across Peel. Once the pandemic is over, the time capsule will be a way to reflect on this health crisis and show the resilience of our community and region.
