Caledon Public Library will be offering the community the opportunity to participate in Canada's largest recreational reading program.  The Ontario Library Association (OLA) offers eight reading programs in their Forest of Reading initiative to encourage a love of reading in people of all ages.  Evergreen, is just one of eight programs offered; and is specifically designed for adult readers.  Read the nominated titles and click the red vote buttons below to register your vote.  Caledon Public Library offers the ability to see a real time count of all votes on each book.

Program Details

  • Copies of all ten titles will be available at all seven branches
  • Titles are loaned for 3 weeks with no renewals
  • Holds can be placed to ensure everyone has the opportunity to read all 10
  • For more information on titles, availability and placing a holds, click on the book cover to be connected to the library’s catalogue
  • Participants are encouraged to cast a vote for their favourite book before the program closes on October 25

The program will continue throughout the spring and summer months with an Evergreen book discussion night in the fall. Details of the event to be posted shortly. The overall winner to be announced in November by the Ontario Library Association.

Special thanks to the Friends of Caledon Public Library for generously supporting the program financially through the purchase of the books.
