Local History Collection at Caledon Public Library

Caledon Public Library now has dedicated space for our local history collection located on the second floor of the Albion Bolton branch. Visit us and discover Caledon’s long and fascinating history through books, online resources, local history displays or access Ancestry.ca to research your family tree. Throughout the year we will also welcome special guests who will be available on a drop in basis to offer support for research and share their knowledge and expertise on the rich local history of Caledon.   Sunday, January 28 1-3 pm - Sally Drummond, Heritage Resource Officer Town of Caledon; Sunday, February 25 1-3 pm - Derek Paterson - local historian

Albion-Bolton Historical Society: Meetings are held at the Bolton United Church on Nancy Street.

Belfountain Heritage Society: The purpose of the society is to bring together people interested in the diverse historical heritage of Belfountain and district and to research, retain, preserve and present historical data pertaining to the region.

Caledon Heritage Foundation: Where stories of people, place, and objects are told through pictures, oral tradition, memories, lore, letters, prose.

Caledon East and District Historical Society: The society holds meetings, plans events and they are involved in many community projects.

Halinet (the Historical Societies of Burlington, Esquesing, and Milton and the Halton-Peel Branch of the Ontario Genealogical Society): Halton County history and indexes, including indexes to land records, census records, surrogate court records, newspapers, military records and more.
