Volunteering
Adult Volunteers
Adults may volunteer as a member of Friends of Caledon Public Library, the fundraising arm of Caledon Public Library.
Teen Volunteers
The Youth Volunteer Program at Caledon Public Library has been revised to reflect the growing need of our community to match youth with appropriate volunteer opportunities.
Volunteer opportunities will be available at different times throughout the year at various branches of Caledon Public Library.
If you wish to volunteer at any of the library’s 7 branches, with the exception of the Albion Bolton Branch, please contact the branch directly.
The Albion Bolton Branch has the following volunteer opportunities currently available:
1. Reading Buddies is a ‘read together’ program in which volunteers listen to younger
children read aloud. Volunteers must commit to 8 weeks .
2. Sneak Peek is a youth program that allows you to get a sneak peek at young adult titles
before they are released and review them for the library.
For more details on either of these programs, contact Leo Scardicchio in the
Youth Services Department at ext. 239.
3. For teens specifically, Volunteer Mississauga Brampton Caledon (Volunteer MBC) will
be hosting a special orientation session on September 19th at 7 pm. targeting any
students in grades 9 - 12 (during the 2012-13 school year) who are interested in
acquiring volunteer hours by becoming Youth Ambassadors at their high school.
Registration for this evening can be completed at any branch. For more information,
email Volunteer MBC at youth@volunteermbc.org
